St. Servatius’ College, Matara created history with a sensational 5-wicket victory in the 126th Battle of the Saints, delivering a memorable triumph to their supporters. In a thrilling contest filled with determination, teamwork, and fighting spirit, the Servatians held their nerve when it mattered most and secured a remarkable win. The annual Battle of the Nilwala cricket encounter concluded with immense pride as the St. Servatius' College First XI cricket team clinched a resounding victory at the Uyanwatte Stadium, Matara.

Batting first, the Servatian opening partnership set a formidable foundation with a magnificent 120-run opening stand. The middle order capitalized on the momentum, posting a massive first-innings total.

The bowling department produced a masterclass in spin bowling, bowl out the opposition twice to seal a victory by 8 wickets. Special congratulations to skipper Dilshan Perera for earning the Man of the Match trophy!
